What is a Firewise Community?
Firewise is a national program to strategically reduce the risk of wildfires in your neighborhood. Amador County alone has $2 million in funds to help pay for the cost of mitigating fires which will protect your home.
Fiddletown is in the early stages of launching a Firewise project. The committee has met twice, and the volunteers have laid out 8 sectors to tackle reducing fire risk AND to be eligible for funds for each one of those sectors separately,
Brockman Mill Road has completed their Firewise Certification, so we just have 7 more sectors to go.
The following are the Leads for each sector. You may be asked to participate in your sector, and we hope you will consider pitching in to complete this certification process.
